In 2001, Jennifer started Chuckanut Therapeutic Massage. She was drawn to starting her own practice by the idea of being unrestricted in the assessment and implementation of a complete treatment plan for each individual client’s needs. Jennifer’s massage techniques use a balance of structural and functional techniques to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, sports injuries, and pre and post surgery recoveries.

Jennifer grew up in Wisconsin. Her passion to help other started when she took a high school elective course as a personal trainer. While in college and taking prerequisites to go into Chiropractic care, she was drawn to working with soft tissue. She realized the importance of working with, and the manipulation of, soft tissue as an approach to injury rehabilitation and sports performance.
Her next pursuit was massage school, which led her to move West. While studying at Ashmead School of Massage in Seattle, WA, Jennifer did an internship at Stevens Hospital, which gave her experience working with cancer patients, injury-rehabilitation, and maternity patients. In 2001, after graduating with honors as a Nationally Accredited Massage Therapist, she put down roots in Bellingham and started Chuckanut Therapeutic Massage. Jennifer currently lives in Bellingham, WA with her husband and twin daughters and enjoys exploring the wonders of the Pacific Northwest with them.
Jennifer is passionate about getting people back to daily activities that keep them active and add to a long healthy life.
